2009 Sale Commercial Females

Eversleigh Droughtmasters presented a draft of 296 commercial heifers comprised of 189 PTIC and No 8 107 chance-mated heifers at the 2009 Diamantina Sale in Winton on 15 May.

The heifers had been joined to registered bulls (including sires from Eversleigh, Glen Ruth, Farnham and Ivanhoe studs) as well as selected Eversleigh herd bulls.

The PTIC heifers averaged $799.52/hd with the top price pen going to David Birchmore "Kiriwina" Corfield for $830.  He also purchased a further 4 pens.  Other buyers were N&R Balderson Barcaldine 1 pen and The Nobbies Grazing Cloncurry 1 pen.

Chance-mated heifers averaged $514.95 with Penny and Hugh Button Crossmoor Grazing Longreach purchasing the top price pen for $550 plus another pen for $475; David and Maree Jones "The Grove" Winton bought 1 pen for $520/hd.
