Bulls & Heifers for 2010 Diamantina Sale
The 7th Annual Diamantina Droughtmaster Bull & Female Sale was held in Winton on Friday 21 May 2010. On offer were 83 bulls including a draft of 17 registered and herd bulls from Eversleigh Droughtmasters. Bloodlines included Alma Gareth 04/1390 and Eddington Chief. All bulls were vet checked, had passed semen morphology testing and been vaccinated for three-day, botulism and tick fever. As well, the bulls were ear notch tested and certified pestivirus free which guaranteed that none of the bulls will introduce BVDV (pestivirus) into the buyer's cattle operation.
A line of 250 commercial heifers, including 97 PTIC (red and blue tag) No 8 and 9 heifers, were also being presented at the sale. The heifers were predominantly polled and had been joined since November 2009 to registered bulls including Western Red Capers, Garthowen Oke 2, Rocky View Foreman, Farnham Ideal and selected Eversleigh and Wallace Vale stud sires.
